We are currently preparing a new challenge in Belgium, namely to ride a flyboard from the Panne to Knokke along the coastline. This is a good preparation for a future flyboard expedition through the Gobi desert in Mongolia. Since we live in the center of the country and can't drive up and down to the coast every time, we are highly dependent on the weather forecast. To succeed in our stunt it must be 3-5 Beaufort. despite speeds of more than 20 km/h that you can achieve while flyboarding, we are still counting on an average of 10 km per hour. Maybe not so fast, but on the way there are several factors to take into account (marina, water channels, watch out for tourists on the beach, weakening of the wind strength, tides...etc) that hinder the route. From the moment that the wind from SSW-SW with a minimum of 3 bfrt we drive towards De Panne. We therefore foresee several attempts as a change in the weather can already lead to the abandonment of our challenge.
For example, we made an attempt on Saturday 30 May. Unfortunately near Nieuwpoort we had to stop due to a rain front from the west.
